  Only had a short time here, but loved what we saw. Loved the outdoor forest area, and the kids are always fans of dinosaurs. Tough to keep the attention of a 4 and 6 year old in some of the areas, but the kids play ground inside was amazing. Definitely some back for another visit next time we are in Melbourne.

  An interesting (and affordable) place to spend with the family. I came here with my 5yo daughter on Saturday. Most of the exhibits were accessible to her and interesting to me. She loved the dinosaurs. A great way to spend a few hours.

  Really lovely museum and the staff were super friendly. I liked the exhibit about wild life, very original display. The area about European settlers and au history was very interesting and interactive. I liked the mock up cottage with the early settler interiors. I also liked seeing the first peoples art and design display. It could have been spread out a bit more though in more space. Top museum though with a nice shop.

  It only costs 14 aud for adult and free for students and you get access to all exhibits. Suitable for all ages with many interesting things to learn. Kids have so much fun. I'm 21 and I would say that 2 days would be sufficient to explore this place thoroughly reading all descriptions slowly. However, I only browsed through the place in 3 hours. I am looking forward to come here again with my friends and family.

  The first museum I have visited since my primary school days. Certainly worth a visit and the kiddies are very well catered for. Informative and the use of technology for displays is easy to use, for me that's saying something. Beautiful surroundings, Melbourne Exhibition Building and the Carlton Gardens are cool, inviting, a nice setting to sit under a tree, a bench, kick your shoes off and feel the grass under your feet
